So for those of you who don’t really know what a Cardiac Physiologist is...
I work within the cardiology department, this role involves using high-tech equipment to assess patients with heart problems. We are responsible for the recording and analysis of different physiological data required to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of known or suspected cardiac diseases.
So basically we carry out non-invasive cardiac tests such a echocardiography, electrocardiogram, exercise tolerance testing, tilt-table testing and assist in invasive laboratory procedures such as cardiac catheterisation, pacemaker/ICD implants, Trans-oesophageal echocardiogram, electrophysiology studies and so forth.
Lots of Love
